Legislative Director Olivia Lee
Olivia Lee is the Manager of Legislative and Advocacy Affairs for AltaMed Health Services, where she co-leads COVID-19 and vaccination efforts for the Government Relations Department and focuses on local, state, and federal issues impacting accessibility to quality healthcare for all.
A public policy and public affairs professional, Lee was previously a Public Policy Manager at the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, covering land use, housing, homelessness, and technology innovation. Additionally, Lee has held positions with the California State Assembly, Kaufman Legal Group, Hilltop Public Solutions, the California Democratic Party, and many federal and state campaigns.
A first generation American, Lee has 20+ years of community engagement and political activism experience at federal, state, and local levels. As activist, she is Co-Chair of the California Democratic Party Organizational Development Committee; elected Recording Secretary of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, the first AAPI countywide officer and the youngest person to hold the position; and Democratic National Convention District-Level Delegate in 2016 (Clinton) and 2020 (Biden). Lee is also proudly the former Chair of the CDP API Caucus Rules Committee and has been a member of the API Caucus for over a decade. She has also served in several volunteer roles, including Center for Asian American United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE) Leadership Network member; Center for Health Care Rights (Board of Directors); and Los Angeles City Housing Element Task Force member.
Lee attended Mt. San Antonio College and graduated from University of California, Irvine. She resides in the San Gabriel Valley with her rescue dog, Sua Sponte.
